Confirm your moving date

Contact your removal company with your intended moving date. It is best to contact your moving company as soon as you have a date in mind If you are unaware of your moving date, we suggest contacting your moving company with a provisional date and keep in touch in case your situation changes. This will secure your moving date in diary.

De-clutter

We recommend that you take the time to clear out your home of all unwanted items, you no longer use or need, with particular focus on the loft, basement and shed. Decluttering is a service we offer speak to us to take advantage of this service before your moving day.

Keep packing and unpacking

Packing and unpacking can be extremely time consuming, we recommend that you choose a removal company that offers packing or unpacking as an option.

Alternatively, if you choose to pack we recommend that you use strong boxes that are labelled well with items. For example, you could choose to write on the items that are in box and the room destination.

Make a list so you know exactly what is inside each box after the journey. Make a checklist of what is in each box, so you do not have to root around whenever you are trying to find something.

Keep essential items out for yourself that you may need on your removal day. Make sure you have contacted your utility suppliers, and given all your meter readings.
